Description
This building is a bank barn located approximately 30 meters north of Mire House, likely dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of dry-jointed coursed mixed rubble with quoins, and features a roof made of four courses of stone slate and blue slate above these. The barn has a rectangular plan oriented on an east-west axis, positioned at right angles to the slope of the land. There is a segmental-headed wagon doorway leading to the upper level near the east end, and four openings for the shippon at the lower level. The west gable includes through-stones. This barn is part of a notable farm group that includes Mire House.
