This is a threshing barn and low shed located approximately 10 metres behind Hardy Grange Farm, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubblestone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan.
The left wing includes a large double-board door with a segmental arch, and to the left are two cross-shaped ventilation holes. The right wing has a semicircular-headed board stable door with semicircular openings on either side. To the left of this door is a blocked large semicircular-headed opening, and above it is a central semicircular round-headed board door flanked by cross-shaped ventilation holes. The left-hand gable features a similar ventilation opening topped with a ball finial. Additionally, there is a one-storey addition on the right with three semicircular-headed stable doors.
