Description
Home Farm farmhouse, along with an attached game larder and coach house, was built in 1872 and features a complex plan. The building is two storeys tall and designed in the Tudor Gothic style, constructed from coursed limestone rubble with sandstone dressings and topped with a slate roof. It has two chimneys and several gables adorned with bargeboards and finials. Most windows consist of two arch-headed lights with labels, and there are two canted bays with hipped roofs. All windows include Gothic glazing bars. The Tudor doorway is located in a canted porch, which features a plaque displaying the date and a raised Bective monogram. The door has ornamental hinges. The coach house is attached to the left side and has segmental arched openings. On the right side, there is an octagonal game larder connected by a wall, featuring a steep roof, lead flashings, and a central wooden louvre, along with a Tudor mullioned and transomed window.
