Description

Bridge End House and attached outbuilding, originally a farmhouse, dates from the early to mid-18th century. The building is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof. It has a symmetrical arrangement of two openings on the first floor. The main house section features quoins and a central four-panel door, partially glazed, set within a slightly chamfered ashlar surround. Windows are flat-faced mullion windows with two lights. Chimneys are located at the ends of the building. Attached to the left is an outbuilding; on each floor, it has a board door within an ashlar surround, with external steps leading up to the first-floor entrance. The rear of the house has flat-faced mullion windows, and a flat-faced mullion-and-transom window illuminates the landing.
