MALHAM MOOR MONK'S ROAD (west side) Stable with pigeon loft over, approximately 10 metres south of Middle House

GV II

Stable and pigeon loft. Probably early C18 reusing C17 remains. Gritstone rubble, graduated stone slate roof. 2 storeys, single cell. Quoins. South wall: board door,right,in quoined surround with large lintel; square louvred opening to left. East gable on first floor: blocked 2-light recessed chamfered mullion window, the mullion missing; 4 tiers of 6,4,2 and 1 pigeon holes with perching stones to gable. A row of through stones at first-floor level. North front: a square forking hole below the eaves with quoined jambs; random through-stones to this wall. Interior not inspected at resurvey. A.
