Description
Howgill House is an early 19th-century house constructed of ashlar, with coursed squared stone and a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The left side features chamfered quoins. To the left of the left-hand bay, there is a half-glazed door set in a plain stone surround, which is topped by a 20th-century slate porch roof. To the left of the right-hand bay, there is another half-glazed door in a plain stone surround. All the windows are sashes with glazing bars, also in plain stone surrounds. The house is adorned with modillions and has two ridge stacks.
