Description

The cow shelter, located approximately 110 meters south of High Lodge, is likely from the early 19th century. It is constructed from stone rubble and features a slate roof. Designed as a park ornament in a rustic Doric style, the west elevation has three bays with four round piers topped by square abaci that support a timber beam. The outer bays have been infilled with coursed rubble, while the upper parts remain open. The east elevation forms part of the perimeter wall.
