Description
This building is a bank barn located approximately 30 meters south of Dandra Garth, likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan oriented on an east-west axis, facing north and parallel to the slope, with the rear side against higher ground. It has two low storeys and probably three structural bays.
The north front includes a segmental-headed wagon doorway that is slightly offset to the left, featuring rubble voussoirs and a drip-band, along with a square-headed doorway to the left. The rear side has a loft doorway near the east corner and two rectangular unglazed windows. Inside, there is one roof truss made of reused cruck blades. This barn forms a group with Dandra Garth and another barn located approximately 60 meters south-west of Dandra Garth.
