Description

The bridge over the River Bain in Bainbridge is a structure dating from the 16th century and was widened in 1785 by John Carr of York. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a single arch that is slightly pointed on the upstream side and semicircular on the downstream side. The parapet has ashlar segmental coping.
