Description
This lime kiln, located on the south side of the lane immediately west of Yellow Gill, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble and features quoins. The kiln has a square plan with a front that steps back above the draw-hole opening, which has straight sides. The draw-hole opening is slightly tapered and includes a slab lintel. The top courses of the kiln are missing, and both the bowl and draw-hole have collapsed.
