Description
Flasby Top Cottage is a cottage dated 1683, with 19th and 20th century alterations. It is constructed of slobbered rubble with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance has a chamfered surround and a basket arched lintel, which includes a recent date and the inscription: M R O. The door is a 20th century plank door.
In the right-hand bay, the windows have plain surrounds and 20th century casements. The left-hand ground floor features a three-light double chamfered mullioned window with a narrow central light, a three-pane sash, and nine-pane sashes in the outer lights, along with a hoodmould. On the upper floor, there are two former double chamfered two-light windows, with the mullions now missing, replaced by 20th century casements. The eaves are adorned with square modillions, and there are gable end ridge stacks. The interior is not accessible.
