Description
This building, located to the south-west of Clints House, is a late 18th-century wool warehouse that has been converted into a house. It was originally built for the Routh family of Gayle Mill. The structure is made of rubble with a stone slate roof and stands at 2½ storeys tall, featuring three first-floor windows. The right side has quoins, and there is a wide central doorway that has been reduced in width, which is topped with a pediment and has leaved doors. On the first floor, there is a 6-pane sash window in an opening that was formerly a loading doorway, while the ground and first floors also have 16-pane sash windows. There are two small window openings located under the eaves. The right side features a shaped kneeler and ashlar coping. The building has a ridge stack at the end right and another stack in the center of the rear roof.
