Description
This is a bridge located approximately 160 meters south of Low Beckfoot, built around 1870. It is constructed of dressed stone with rock-faced sandstone dressings. The bridge features a round arch made of rusticated voussoirs and a keystone. There are flanking piers, a band, and a parapet that continues as flanking walls, which curve forward to the end piers, topped with rock-faced coping. The bridge was built for the estate road connecting Barbon to Underley Hall, crossing the River Lune over Underley Bridge.
