Description

The Fowlers Bucke is a late 16th-century timber-framed and plastered tenement, substantially altered and restored in 1977. It is located in The Street, South Harting, and is aligned parallel to the street with four bays and a contrived jetty design. An additional bay to the right includes a throughway. The building has two storeys with one window in each bay, predominantly wooden casements. A central doorway leads to a lobby entry, positioned against a large chimney stack. The interior retains a large, contemporary open fireplace, panelling, and an early 18th-century staircase with a closed string and turned balusters.
