Description
The White Hart Inn is a public house located in South Harting, dating from the 17th century and around 1800. It features a timber frame with a roughcast brick front and a tiled roof, presenting an L-shaped plan. Although it appears to have a lobby entry, this is a result of alterations. The original 17th-century structure consists of two bays, with the left bay added circa 1800 during a period of refronting and refenestration, which also introduced an overall hipped roof. The building has two storeys, with the ground floor showcasing two four-pane sash windows and a tripartite sash window to the left, along with two doorways that have flat hoods. Above, there are two three-light casement windows. The building features a rebuilt brick ridge stack and an end stack on the right.
