Description

Nos. 29 and 30, Friar’s Walk, are a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. The building is constructed of painted brick with grey brick headers and red dressings on the second floor to the left. It has a slate roof on the left with a stack to the right, and a plain tiled roof to the right, the latter being at a lower level and of a steeper pitch. The building is three storeys high on the left and two storeys high on the right, with a three-window front, including two windows on the second floor to the left. The windows are glazing bar sashes, except for doubled casements in the central bay on the first floor. A ground-floor shopfront from the early 20th century features a central half-glazed door. The building is included on the list for its group value.
