Description

The Stables of West Dean Park, located to the southeast of the house, is an L-shaped building from the early 19th century, likely designed by James Wyatt for Lord Selsey in 1804. The structure is faced with flints, with part of the northeast wing also featuring Roman cement, while incorporating some 17th-century brickwork. It has a slate roof. The west wing is notable for its castellated parapet and a central carriage archway. The northeast wing includes a similar archway, topped with a flint-faced tower that displays a clock face and a cupola above.
