Description

The Dower House is an early to mid 19th century double L-shaped building located on West Dean Park Lane, also referred to on maps as West Dean Cottage. It stands two storeys tall and features five windows. The exterior is faced with flints and has red brick dressings and quoins. A castellated parapet crowns the structure, and it has a tiled roof with casement windows. In 1973, it was converted into a student hostel for West Dean College.
