Description
The South Gateway and Lodge of Slindon Park is an early 19th-century structure made of flints and stone. It features a pointed stone carriage archway with crenellation above, flanked by octagonal stone buttresses or turrets. On either side of these buttresses are flint walls topped with stone crenellation, which contain pointed stone pedestrian archways that are also flanked by lower stone buttresses or turrets. Beyond these archways are lower flint walls with stone crenellation. The wall on the southwest side has a pointed window for the lodge, which is mostly hidden behind the wall except for its steep hipped slate roof. Further along, there are short curved flint walls.
