The Hermitage is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall and features two windows. It is faced with Roman cement and has a slate roof, with intact glazing bars. There is a later gabled porch added to the structure. To the east, there is a contemporary section that is lower in elevation, consisting of one storey and one window. This window is obtusely-pointed and has Gothic glazing. The east front of this lower section has two such windows and is faced with flints.
