The Long House is an 18th-century building of two storeys and four windows. It is constructed of painted brick with a modillion eaves cornice and a tiled roof. The original glazing bars remain intact. A modern porch has been added. The building is part of a group that includes Elm Tree Stores, Shelley House, The White House, Flint House and Nos 1-3 Malthouse Cottages in Church Lane, Eastergate.
