Description

The east garden wall of The New House is a Grade II listed structure located on the west side of High Street in Lodsworth. Originally, this wall was part of the garden wall of the Old House, which was formerly known as the Dower House. The wall, built in the 18th century, is made of stone and stands about ten feet high and 20 feet long. At the north end, it ramps down to gate-piers that are of a lower height, which are topped with stone vases that were likely added later. This wall is included in the listing for its group value context.
