Description

Rose Cottage is a small house dating to 1664, located on the west side of High Street, Lodsworth. It is constructed of stone rubble with a tiled roof. The windows are casement types. A blocked window is visible on the east front, featuring a brick dripmould, while further blocked windows are present on the north front. A wooden panel above the centre first-floor window displays the date 1664 and the initials “E.C.M.”. The cottage has chimney breasts on both the north and south walls, the north one being notable for its two shoulders. The building is two storeys high with three windows.
