Description

Corhampton Farmhouse is a 17th-century timber-frame farmhouse, subsequently expanded to form a T-shaped block of cottages, now returned to a single dwelling. An 18th-century extension was added, along with partial re-cladding. The exposed timber frame features brick infill, including some herring-bone patterns. Other walls are of brickwork in a Flemish bond, characterized by blue headers. The building has cambered openings and some alterations to original features. The roof is tiled, with hipped and half-hipped sections, and a catslide to parts of the north and east elevations. The two-storey structure has an irregular arrangement of windows, with casements. A boarded door is set in a plain frame, sheltered by a 20th-century brick porch with a tiled roof. Other doors are plain, and there is a French door.
