Description

Wisdoms, Welsted and School View is a single building, likely dating back to the 17th century or earlier, and converted into three dwellings. The building was probably named after William Wisdom, a local wheelwright who may have lived there in the 18th century. It has a timber-frame structure, largely refaced with cement, with the exception of the southernmost window bay, which is tile-hung, although the original timbering remains visible in the north wall. The roof is tiled, and the windows are casement type. A brick chimney breast is located on the north wall. The building is two storeys high with three windows. A date stone reading 1746 is present, and the building is included on the list for group value.
