Description
Malthouse Cottages, built in 1863, were erected by Henry Brand, who was the Speaker of the House of Commons and later became Viscount Hampden of Glynde Place. This building is two storeys high and features four windows. The exterior is faced with flints, complemented by red brick dressings and quoins, along with grey headers. It has a tiled roof and casement windows that have dripstones above them. The design includes two pairs of gables with a recess in the center and at each end. The central recess contains two doorways, while each end has one doorway, all of which also have dripstones above.
