Description

Forge House, formerly known as Pear Tree Cottage or Ricksteddle, is a 16th-century timber-framed building. It has undergone alterations over time, with the east side now featuring a red brick ground floor and tile-hung upper section, while the west end is stuccoed. The building is covered by a steeply-pitched hipped tile roof. It has casement windows, and presents two storeys with three windows visible from the front. The original timber frame is visible behind plaster infilling.
