Description

The Parish Church is a Church of England building with an unknown dedication, located in Southease. This church features a circular 12th-century tower, one of three in the Ouse valley, alongside Piddinghoe. The chancel and nave date back to the 11th century, forming the original building's nave. The chancel and transepts were demolished in the 14th century, and the space is now separated by a modern pointed wooden chancel arch. Notable features include remains of mural paintings from around 1280 on the north and west walls. The church also has a west tower topped with a shingled spire.
