Description

The Parish Church in Alciston is a Grade I listed building, dedicated to an unknown saint. It is constructed of flint with stone dressings, partly cemented, and features a tiled roof. The church includes a chancel, a nave with a wooden bell turret, and a north porch. The structure is primarily Norman, with a 13th-century chancel and a later window, and it was restored in 1853. The porch dates from the 13th century but was rebuilt in 1950. The roof, supported by tie beams, king posts, and raking struts, was constructed in 1898.
