Description

Old Tanyard Cottage is a house built in the late 18th century and early 19th century. It features walls made of painted brickwork in Flemish bond, with a plinth and cambered openings on the ground floor. The west side has brick dentil eaves. The roof is tiled, higher and hipped on the west side. The building has been extended with a taller section on the west side. The south-east front elevation is two storeys high and has one window with a blank middle section. The windows are casements. There is a doorway with a pediment or hood supported by brackets, an architrave, and a six-panelled door, two of which are glazed at the top.
