Description

The Parish Church of St Margaret is a parish church that dates back to the 12th century, although it has been significantly restored and largely rebuilt in 1859 by the architect Anthony Salvin, who also added the south aisle and porch at that time. In 1881, a tower and vestry were added. The church is constructed from squared and random Wealden sandstone rubble and features tiled roofs. The layout includes a chancel with a vestry to the south, a nave with a south aisle, a south porch, and a tower located at the west end of the south aisle. The interior consists of four bays with an arcade and includes a single light trefoil-headed window.
