Description
The former stables of Newlands, located to the southeast of the house, are now part of the council offices. This building dates from the 18th century and is two storeys high, featuring seven windows or window-spaces, some of which are blocked. The exterior is constructed of red brick with alternating grey headers and has a tiled roof. In the center, there is a round-headed carriage archway, which is now blocked by a shed that extends beyond it. This shed has a pediment above containing a round window in the tympanum. Additionally, there are lunette windows present. At the south end, a later shed has been built out in front of the original structure.
