Description

The Toll House is a 17th-century building located in Kingsly Green, Fernhurst. It is constructed of coursed stone with ashlar quoins and a stringcourse, topped with a tiled roof. The house features casement windows and has a chimney breast on the east wall. It stands two storeys high and has four windows. There is also a slightly projecting modern addition with three windows at the west end. This house is larger than typical toll houses, giving it a distinctive character.
