Description

Flint Cottage, originally a public house, dates back to 1732 and is located on the former Lewes-Brighton road. This L-shaped building has two storeys and features five windows. It is constructed with flints and has red brick dressings and quoins. The roof is made of slate, and it has casement windows. A stone on the building displays the date 1732 along with the initials "WB," which likely refer to William Beard.
