Description
Granary approximately 20 metres north-east of Park House is an 18th-century structure that has been altered. It features a timber frame with weatherboard cladding, resting on staddle stones, and has a plain tile roof. The building is square in shape, consisting of 2 x 2 bays. There are nine staddle stones set on square brick plinths with rounded corners, and square-section beams support the superstructure. Some of the weatherboard is old and tarred, while the rest has been replaced. The west side has a central replacement board door and an old boarded shutter to a former opening on the left. Inside, there is a loft over the left bay, large-scantling timbers, and a frame made of rectangular panels lined with horizontal boards. The roof features a collared raked queen-strut truss with through purlins, flat-laid rafters, and wind braces.
