Description

Plumtree Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier. It began as a timber-framed building, now with painted brick infilling between the timbers. The first floor displays curved braces. The roof is thatched, with a projecting eaves (pentice) on the north and south sides. Casement windows are present, and a porch with a thatched roof provides access. The house is two storeys high and has three windows. It was formerly named Plum Tree Cottage.
