Gateway and attached garden wall. Early C19. Iron gates; coursed sandstone wall with ashlar piers and copings. Gateway at entrance to garden on east side of The Brooklands (qv); attached wall curves round to line north side of garden then joins service wing. The wall rises to approximately 2m in height; pedestrian gateway near the house. Gateway: tapered square-section piers with domed caps. Iron gates with spiked dog bars, curved braces and scrolled meeting stiles; vase finials to the hanging stiles. Forms part of the setting for The Brooklands (qv).
