Description
White Gate House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with a 19th-century addition at the front. The building is constructed of rendered stone, featuring painted gritstone dressings and a stone slate roof, with stone gable end stacks. It stands two storeys high and has two bays. The central 19th-century addition covers the original doorcase, which is tooled and has a glazed door on the east side of the addition. To the east, there is a 2-light recessed and chamfered mullion window with two-pane casements, and a similar 3-light window to the west. Above these, there are similar windows matching those below. At the rear, there is a small 17th-century leaded stair window.
