Description

Dalefields and attached outbuildings is a house and former agricultural building dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. The structure is built of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and has a clay tile roof. There is a brick integral end stack on the east side and a ridge stack on the west side of the center. The house is located to the east and the former agricultural building to the west.

The house is two stories tall on the left (originally one story with a gable-lit attic), while the agricultural building on the right is single story. The house features one first-floor window to the left of the center and a total of four ground floor windows arranged as 1:1:2. The ground floor windows are 20th-century casements, with the two windows to the left and right of the center being smaller; the right window may have been a fire window with a rebated surround. There is a projecting single-story lean-to extension to the left of the center and a blocked door to the right.

The agricultural building has a door on the left. A noticeable change in masonry about two feet above the heads of the ground floor windows and doors of both buildings indicates that the eaves level has been raised. There is a straight joint between the house and the agricultural building. An attic window is present in the east gable end, featuring a rebated surround and a straight hood mould.
