Description

The bastlehouse at Craig Farm dates from the 16th century or early 17th century and is constructed of random rubble. The ground floor is intact, with the west wall reaching full gable height while the other walls are slightly lower. There is an original ground-floor doorway in the west gable end, which features a renewed segmental lintel from 1985 and rounded arrises on the jambs. Inside, the structure has a tunnel-vaulted ceiling and a very narrow mural stair located in the south-west corner.
