Description
The Ellerby Hotel is a hotel that consists of two sections built in the 18th century and early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared stone. The left part features a pantiled roof, while the earlier right section has a Welsh slate roof with stone copings and rebuilt brick end chimneys. The building is two storeys high with two windows that have raised keystones above their lintels. The later left range is 1½ storeys and has five bays arranged irregularly. Two gabled dormers with bargeboards interrupt the eaves, and the windows are modern casements with glazing bars.
