Description
The Joiner's Shop is a house with an estate joiner's workshop, built for the Kepwick Hall estate in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared stone and features a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. A board door is located between the first and second bays, framed in wood with an ashlar lintel above. The shop has fixed 12-pane windows, each with ashlar lintels and projecting sills. The roof has inturned kneelers, ashlar coping, and corniced end stacks. There is a single-storey outbuilding on the right, which is now a garage and is not of special interest.
At the rear, there is a wide central segmental archway made of ashlar voussoirs, which has been infilled with a door and window. To the right of this archway, there is a board stable door under an ashlar lintel, and on the left, there is a window on each floor, with an additional window above to the right, all matching the front. Additionally, to the right of each first-floor window, there is a board door under an ashlar lintel.
