Description
Rose Cottage is a house located in Hutton-le-Hole, dating from the early 19th century, though it likely has earlier origins. The building is constructed from squared stone and features a pantile roof with brick stacks and a timber porch. It has a central-entry plan and is two stories high with a two-window front, along with a single-storey projecting porch at the center. The porch contains a boarded door flanked by two-light, 16-pane horizontal sliding sash windows. Above the door is a reset datestone carved with the initials "TF" in low relief. On either side of the datestone are two-light, 12-pane horizontal sliding sash windows, which date back to 1695. All windows have stone sills and tooled lintels above the openings. The house has end stacks and is included for its group value.
