Description
Lower Exbury Farm House is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the early 18th century and incorporates elements from an earlier building, as well as reused materials from Lower Exbury Church. The house underwent alterations in the 19th century and was extended in the 20th century. It features rubble stone and brick walls, topped with an old plain tile roof.
The building is two stories tall and has an L-shaped layout with three and five bay wings. A 20th-century wing has been added to create a T-shape. The entrance front, which is from the 18th century, has a three-bay wing that projects from the left-hand end. To the left of the central bay, there is a projecting one-and-a-half-story porch with a segmental-headed archway and a round window above it, topped with a bell-cast gabled roof. On the left side, there are two-light casements on each floor, with larger windows on the ground floor. The right side has a similar two-bay arrangement, but the right bay is a blank stack bay. There is a ridge stack over the left bay and a stack at the right end.
