Description

Wootton Hall is a house largely dating to the mid-19th century, although it is believed to have been built using the fabric of three earlier cob buildings shown on old maps. Some walls, including internal ones, are of cob construction up to ground floor level. The garden facade displays an attempted symmetry, with the right-hand side slightly taller and featuring a round-arched attic window. The central bay projects slightly, with stuccoed quoins and a pyramidal roof. Gabled end wings flank the central bay. The house is two storeys high with five windows, featuring French casements and sash windows. The house, along with the nearby Chapel, forms a cohesive group.
