Description

Ramblers is a late 18th-century cottage, altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of cob and chequer brickwork, with a thatched roof and weather-boarded lean-to. The building ends on the road and is originally two bays wide, with a brick bay added to the far end. It is one-and-a-half storeys high, with an outshot rear side. The front facade has a thatched hood between the older bays, with a plank door set beneath, and a junction with the far gabled bay which has a tile porch with glazed door. There are two-light casement windows, and a single-light casement within an eyebrow dormer. The roof is half-hipped with a stack above the hood and on the far end. A lean-to to form a woodstore is situated at the road end. The building has group value.
