Description
South Cottage and the adjoining cottage to the north are a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The ground floor is finished in painted brick, while the upper floor is tile hung. The windows are set between brick piers that extend to the full height of the building. The cottages have a hipped roof covered with old tiles. They are two storeys tall and feature two windows in total, which are sash windows with flush frames and glazing bars. Each cottage has a gabled porch located on the side facade. South Cottage and the adjoining cottage, along with the Chequers Inn and Woodside Farmhouse, form a group of buildings of local interest.
