Description
Longbow is a 17th-century cottage that was altered in the mid-19th century. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill, including some herringbone patterns, and has a thatched roof. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and consists of two bays, with an added 1½ storey porch from the 19th century. The front of the cottage has a porch slightly to the right of center, which includes an archway and a raised band at the springing level. The first floor, made of timber-frame, has a 2-light cast-iron lattice-glazed casement window and a half-hipped roof. On each side, there are similar 2-light casement windows, and there is a half-hipped dormer on the wallplate with a 2-light cast-iron lozenge-glazed casement window. There are stacks at each end, with the right-hand stack being external and featuring bread-ovens.
