Description
Lane Foot Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a private house. It dates from the mid-16th century, with the date of 1568 displayed in 20th-century lettering above the door, and has undergone later alterations. The building features roughcast walls set on a chamfered plinth, topped with a graduated greenslate roof and roughcast chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has four bays, with the two bays on the left having a lower roof line. There is a 20th-century door within a 20th-century wooden porch. The windows are Yorkshire sash style with glazing bars in plain reveals, and there is a similar smaller ground floor fire window to the right. The interior is believed to be of interest, but access was not possible during the survey. An adjoining extension to the right is not considered of interest.
