Description

The Old Manor is a house dated 1726, as indicated by the inscription over the entrance. It is constructed of incised stucco, with a prominent eaves cornice and V-jointed quoins set on a chamfered plinth. The roof is of graduated greenslate, hipped to the right, with stucco chimney stacks. The house is arranged over two storeys and consists of three bays. The front features a six-panel door recessed within a fluted pilastered doorcase topped with a pediment and a frieze decorated with triglyphs and rosettes. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars; those on the upper floor are bowed, and all are set within painted stone architraves. A right-hand side wall incorporates two 20th-century ground-floor windows. The interior retains 18th-century panelling, an original fireplace, panelled doors, and shutters.
